kate smithI’m Kate Smith and this is my 2nd year as MCS’ PTO President. This is also my 7th year at the school and I’m hoping to drive more engagement this year to help the PTO mission come to fruition. When I’m not helping with the PTO, I work at Hasbro (the toy company), leading the team that develops and manages all of Hasbro’s web sites!

I live in Charlestown, RI with my husband, Mike, our 3 children, 5 dogs, 1 cat and 2 tree frogs! And, oh, my mother, Deb, lives with us, too! Our oldest son, Reid, is in 4th grade, our daughter Cassie is in 2nd and Gabe is in 1st. As you can imagine, we have a crazy schedule, but try to spend time together on our boat, playing and watching sports, playing board games and traveling.

Melissa WrayMy name is Melissa Wray and I am the PTO’s Room Parent Coordinator. I live in Charlestown with my husband Bill, 4 kids and our dog Echo. As a family, we love going to the beach, playing games, swimming, hiking and skiing. MCS is a wonderful place and we feel blessed to be a part of such a special community.

Diana McLaughlin
I’m Diana McLaughlin and the Social Coordinator for the MCS PTO. I am the mother to Adelaide (Grade 4) and Connor (Grade 1) and am married to Steven McLaughlin (Owner & Executive Chef of Eddie’s BBQ restaurant and food truck) and we belong to the St. Thomas More parish in Narragansett. I am the Middle School Science Teacher at Monsignor Clarke and am so excited to be joining the school in the faculty capacity this year and continue to build on the amazing sense of community here at MCS!!

Lauren MainesHi, I’m Lauren Maines and I am MCS PTO’s Communications Coordinator. I work with the school and the PTO to get information out to families. I am enjoying getting to know the MCS families and being engaged in the school community. I am hoping to continue to work to streamline communications and actively recruit families in participating in fundraising and social events. I live in Kingston, RI with my husband and two children. My daughter, Adrianna, is in the 4th grade, and my son, Casey, is in PreK. I can often be found around town or in the school, kids in tow! My family and I like to go on nature walks, enjoy boating and beaching, and pretty much anything coastal living!
