Dear Monsignor Clarke Families,

It is with great joy and gratitude that I welcome you to our website! Monsignor Clarke has been a beacon of academic excellence here in Southern Rhode Island for over 50 years. 

There is something truly special about Monsignor Clarke. For generations, this school has been a place where children are known by name, families become part of a community, and faith is woven into the everyday experience of learning. Since 1966, Monsignor Clarke has remained committed to forming young people who are prepared not only for their next academic step, but for a life grounded in faith, character, and purpose.

At the heart of our school is a simple but profound belief: education is about forming the whole person. We want our students to grow in knowledge and confidence, but we also want them to grow in their relationship with Christ and in their understanding of how they are called to serve others. Our classrooms, chapel, athletic fields, activities, service opportunities, and daily interactions all contribute to that formation.

Our mission calls us to develop students who are motivated learners and responsible leaders, students who strive for excellence while recognizing that true success is measured by more than grades and accomplishments. We want our graduates to leave Monsignor Clarke with a strong academic foundation, a well-formed conscience, and the courage to use their gifts for the good of others.

This work is guided by the values that define our community: Faith, Respect, Kindness, Leadership, and Service. These are not simply words displayed around our school. They are values we hope our students experience, practice, and ultimately carry with them. We want faith to shape the way they see the world; respect to shape the way they treat one another; kindness to shape their daily choices; leadership to inspire them to make a difference; and service to remind them that our gifts are meant to be shared.

Our commitment to academic excellence remains equally important. We want every student to be challenged, supported, and encouraged to discover what they are capable of achieving. Our dedicated faculty and staff work to meet students where they are while helping them take their next steps as thinkers, problem-solvers, collaborators, and lifelong learners. We celebrate individual strengths and recognize that every child has a unique path toward growth.

None of this happens without partnership. Parents and guardians are the first and most important educators in a child’s life, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us. When home and school work together, our children are given a powerful foundation from which to grow. I look forward to listening to you, learning from you, and working alongside you throughout the year.

To our returning families, thank you for continuing to make Monsignor Clarke your school home. To those joining us for the first time, welcome—we are so happy you are here. Whether your family is beginning with our youngest learners or entering the middle school years, we hope you quickly discover the warmth, faith, energy, and sense of belonging that make our community unique.

To our students: this is your year to learn, to wonder, to grow, to lead, and to serve. Ask questions. Try something new. Be courageous when something is difficult. Look for the person who needs a friend. Celebrate one another. Give your best effort. Most importantly, remember that every day gives you another opportunity to become the person God is calling you to be.
