“10 years ago when we were new at MCS, I found that PTO was a great way to get to know other parents, some of which, are still my friends today. I felt even more connected and part of the MCS community and my contribution helped our kids. Plus, my son still talks about how much he loved seeing me at school when he was young.”
Former MCS Parent
MCS is fortunate to have a strong parent and teacher network dedicated to building a sense of community as well as assisting the school through volunteering and funding to address school needs and support enrichment activities. In past years, the PTO has raised funds for the science lab, playground equipment, retreat space, smart boards, tablets and Chromebooks and improving the security of the school. These efforts directly impact our children’s education and school environment. Additionally, the PTO plans various social events which bring MCS families together. We strive to continue these efforts each and every school year. In order to accomplish this, we focus on the following:
- Fundraising – The PTO spearheads various fundraising events such as the Christmas Festival and golf tournament. Additionally, there are a number of passive activities that bring additional funding to the school. We are thankful for the generous support of MCS families, friends and the business community. Every little bit helps!
- Family Events– The PTO plans a number of fun events for families to enjoy each year. These range from the Halloween Spooktacular to parent / child outings to Parent Night Out events!
When your child becomes a part of the MCS community, the PTO wants the entire family to feel a part of the community as well.
